The freeze is still the story.

Two weeks after the April 21 hard freeze swept Virginia wine country, vineyards are reporting anywhere between 30–90% shoot damage, according to one expert at Virginia Tech (see Wine News).

Thankfully, it appears that the cold weather fluctuations are coming to an end, per a forecast from Wxrisk.com.

But there's still a lot to look forward to.

Mother's Day weekend is one week out — with some nice deals to go with it — and the festival circuit is filling up. Time to mark your calendars.
